The principal shareholders of SYP are the Liu family. Originally from China where the family have been responsible for a large portfolio of high-quality developments in Fujian including master-planned district development of residential and office space.

This experience and knowledge helped support the initial investments in Melbourne. Following steady growth of over the past two decades, SYP Property was established in 2013 to manage the investment, development and operation of the group properties.

With an open mindset, the team has emerged as a rising property development company. The values of creating rewarding and enjoyable developments have been realised in their completed projects in Box Hill and Doncaster followed by new project development approvals. SYP Property continues to build on its success and diversity of investments and is well placed with a suite of land holdings for future development ranging from land subdivision, multistorey residential in Box Hill and inner city commercial.

Grant brings decades of successful property development experience, both in Australia and internationally. His responsibilities have covered most aspects of overall management in the investment and delivery of major hotels, large-scale retail and residential, and community-orientated projects. In 2013, he and the Liu family established SYP. They have the same primary focus of creating residential and commercial projects in Melbourne that are of enduring quality, successful investments for all stakeholders and enjoyable places to work and live.

The Liu family have a long history in property development, both in China and, over the past decade, in Australia. Ling Liu takes charge of her family's activity in her home city of Melbourne and leads shareholder investment and corporate administration at SYP. Ling has a particular passion for maintaining the Liu family ethos, a belief that great outcomes are realised when all stakeholders are successful and clearly understand the value of their contribution to the project. This expands to SYP’s general approach: building confidence step by step, creating projects that clearly articulate the business intent, delivering buildings that customers are proud to own and use, whether for living or working.
